Whale Watching in Provincetown, MA

Get close up and personal with Humpback, Minke, and Finback whales during your cruise to Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary aboard the Dolphin Fleet ships of Provincetown. Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch is consistently ranked a top "must do" attraction while vacationing in Cape Cod. Enjoy the beauty of the Cape Cod National Seashore and historical lighthouses upon departing on your voyage. An experienced naturalist will guide you on your adventure. Whales are just one of the many creatures you'll encounter while exploring the ocean off the coast of Provincetown. Large sunfish, colorful native oceanic birds, and a pod of dolphins may even pass by the ship. Best of all, a portion of the admission fee goes to the research and conservation of these magnificent gentle giants. Even better, you're guaranteed to see whales in their natural habitat or your next cruise is free.

  • What should we bring and wear on the tour?

Dress warmly in layers, out at sea can get a little chilly even on the sunniest of days. You'll also want to bring sun block, sunglasses and shoes with good traction. A camera and binoculars will also be helpful to view and capture the beautiful nature and scenery that surrounds you at the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary.
  • Can we purchase food and drinks on the boat?

Breakfast and lunch specials will be available for purchase during the cruise. Soda, water and alcoholic beverages will also be for sale.
  • Is there parking near the ship?

Plan to arrive extra early to allow for ample time for parking. In the summer months, you must be checked in 45-minutes prior to departure. Parking in Provincetown in the warmer months can be quite challenging, as there are few places to park. The municipal parking lot near MacMillan: $3 per hour or $30 for 24 hours. The nice thing about Provincetown is that it's known as a walking city. If you choose to walk from Surfside Hotel & Suites, it is just under a mile away and will take approximately 20-minutes.
